This site is aimed at all enthusiasts of Exotic pets, and offers you useful links, vet addresses in your area, pet shops, and other essential information. For recognised expertise in French-speaking Switzerland, see also the page dedicated to Dr Danielle Frei Perrin, veterinarian specialising in exotic pets.
Our aim is to help you adopt the animal that suits your lifestyle and expectations, in order to avoid frustration or misunderstandings, and to protect the animal. We wholly disapprove of keeping wild animals, except by persons or organisations holding a legal authorisation.
Because the best prevention of disease, especially in exotic pets, remains the proper management of the exotic pet's habitat and diet, and this requires knowledge, an investment of time and money, and a good deal of patience!
On the site, you will find the menu on your right, which guides you to the information you are looking for.
There you will find practical information on where to find the people who work with exotic pets, information sheets on biology, the most common diseases, advice on diet and keeping, as well as on the legislation in force in Switzerland and on CITES.
Links are provided in order to best meet your expectations.
You can suggest a vet or a pet shop or exotic-pet shelter in your area by logging in via the menu on your right; personal reviews, however, go through Google Maps.
